Mitchell Young scored 20 points to lead St. Mary's (CA) for a 73-53 victory over New Mexico State on Thursday night.
Matthew Dellavedova had 12 points and six assists and Stephen Holt made 10 points Gaels (10-2).
Christian Kabongo made 16 points and Hernst Laroche added 12 for the Aggies (6-8).
St. Mary's led 48-41 with 1:07 p.m. remaining and took control with a 13-4 run highlighted by consecutive 3-pointers by Mickey McConnell Dellavedova and Holt.
The Gaels converted 15 turnovers into 22 points and dominated New Mexico State 34-8 in the paint.
