Goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon has terminated its contract with Cologne and will leave the Bundesliga club at the end of the year.
Cologne, Mondragon said contract expires Dec. 31 by mutual consent. The Colombian, 39, will be available for the last Bundesliga match before the winter break, against Schalke on Saturday and the match against Duisburg German Cup next week.
Mondragon has played in 11 of 16 games in Cologne this season, his fourth with the club after having a long stay in Turkish club Galatasaray.
