Texas Longhorns Part Ways With WR Cayleb Jones


Texas Longhorns sophomore wide receiver Cayleb Jones, who was charged with assault after allegedly punching a Longhorns tennis player and breaking his jaw, has elected to transfer.
Texas Longhorns sophomore wide receiver Cayleb Jones has elected to transfer.

According to the Associated Press, Jones was released by the Longhorns on Thursday five months after he allegedly punched a university tennis player, breaking his jaw in the process. Texas coach Mack Brown said he was given an unconditional release.

Locker Set To Play Thursday Night For Washington

Quarterback Jake Locker of Washington was approved for the night of Thursday's game against UCLA, the last word announced by coach Steve Sarkisian on his Twitter account.

Sarkisian said after Tuesday's practice that doctors still are not allowed and broken rib Locker to play against the Bruins in the final home game of Locker's career.
