India’s batting legend Sachin Tendulkar born on April 24, 1973, the Little Master turns 39th birthday on Tuesday.
He is expected to spend the day along with family and friends. His Indian Premier League team Mumbai Indians is planning a low-key cake cutting ceremony after their training session on Tuesday.
The Little Master is in Chandigarh preparing for Mumbai Indian’s IPL 2012 clash against Kings XI Punjab.
Sachin Tendulkar, on March 16 entered into one mile stone when he completed his 100th international century in an Asia Cup ODI against Bangladesh. To achieve the feat, he had to wait for more than a year.
There have been many calls for his leaving by the critics and fans in past one year, especially when he was repetitively failing to notch the record ton.
On his return to the country, the Master Blaster quashed all reports of retirement saying only he has the right to decide on his retirement.
"All those murmurs about his retirement must stop, this is not the right time to go," said Ramakant Achrekar, 80, the man credited with the early training of the leading scorer in Test history.
