Dolan Again Denies Thomas Role in Anthony Pursuit

Madison Square Garden, James Dolan said that the reports that Isiah Thomas has participated in the search for Carmelo Anthony were "a fantasy in someone's mind."

Dolan also praised the work of Donnie Walsh said at the opening press conference on Wednesday that Anthony would review the employment status of the President of the team shortly after the trade deadline.

Anthony Dolan met last Thursday in Los Angeles during the All-Star break, and there were reports he had taken control away from Walsh with former team president and coach Thomas offered him advice and Walsh was ready.

The Knicks released a statement Sunday saying Dolan, Walsh and coach Mike D'Antoni was on the same page, and the owner closed on Wednesday reiterated that have been "fully co-ordinated the entire process from beginning to end."

"The idea that we had no agreement is simply not true," Dolan said. "We had several meetings and conversations, good conversation, but in the end we all agreed."

He saved his strongest words for the speculation that Thomas had a role.

"I want to say this very directly. Even if Isiah Thomas is my friend, good friend, was not involved in this process," Dolan said. "I do not have advice or tell me what to do in any way, and all reports which implied that he was doing, that are simply false and fiction of someone's mind."
