Azhar Misses Out on Maiden Test Century

Azhar Ali fell 10 runs short of a century maiden Test as Pakistan reached 220 for four at tea on the third day of the second Test against South Africa on Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Monday.

Azhar, who scored 56 and 63 of the first test signed in Dubai, led to Graeme Smith Dale Steyn mid-off.

Steyn also had Younus Khan caught in the covers for 14 as Pakistan lost two wickets for three points to slip to 156 for four.

Captain Misbah-ul-Haq and Asad Shafiq, then put Pakistan back on track with a stand of 64 but they still trail of 364 runs behind South Africa piled up 584 for nine declared.

The 24-year-old Shafiq has experienced torrid time early, but so clever a sudden cut when he went to 38 with six fours not.

Damped Misbah was 22 not, but struck out six audacious left-arm spinner Paul Harris to the last ball before tea.
